“The Visionary and his Vision: The Museum of Native American History” will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum at 202 SW “O” St. Information on purchasing tickets is available by visiting the OLLI website or calling 479-575-4545.

“This is an extraordinary educational and social opportunity open to OLLI members and the general public,” said Josh Raney, director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. “A regional attraction in Northwest Arkansas, this art museum presents dazzling displays of artifacts and art of the original inhabitants of the Americas and serves as a national repository honoring the lives and cultures of the first Americans.”

Wine and hors d’eouvres will be served. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit OLLI programs and facility enhancements.

Attendees also will receive free admission and reserved seating for an upcoming event Dec. 3 at the museum, “Native American Conversations – A Brief Discussion of History, Politics, & Culture” with retired history professor Greg Gagnon.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at U of A is Arkansas’ leading university-affiliated, nonprofit program providing high quality, affordable educational, cultural and engagement opportunities for seasoned adults.
