The Arkansas Nursing Students’ Association recently held its annual convention in Little Rock, where five students at the University of Arkansas Eleanor Mann School of Nursing were elected to the state board.

“We have never had this many students on the board of directors and are very proud of how they represented the U of A during their campaign for election,” said Allison L. Scott, U of A assistant professor of nursing.

The U of A students elected, with their titles, are President Lauren Love, Vice President Mishann Leudders, Treasurer Hailey Parker, District 2 Rep. Logan DeKay, and Legislation, Nominations and Elections Committee Chair Bethany Selin.

The association supports students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs and conveys the profession’s standards. It also advocates for quality health care and for advances in nursing education.
