Fran Hagstrom has been appointed as interim associate dean for International Education effective immediately. Hagstrom is an associate professor of communication sciences and disorders.
Previously she was head of the Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources, and Communication Disorders and the assistant dean for health within the College of Education and Health Professions. As assistant dean she had responsibility for the international programs of the college.
“The landscape of international education on our campus will benefit greatly from Dr. Hagstrom,” said Curt Rom, interim dean of the Graduate School and International Education. “Her demonstrated commitment to international education, her own international experiences and connections, and her administrative leadership will be an asset to our students and programs.”
Hagstrom has served as chair of the campus faculty and chair of the faculty senate. She has extensive involvement in international education, most notably developing and leading the Health Teams Abroad program in Sweden for 14 years. She was a founding member of the campus International Education Advisory Council.
