The college’s Alumni Mentoring Program (AMP) has expanded options for alumni to engage in the program, giving them multiple opportunities to help shape the success of future health and education professionals.

The program, which was created to build strong connections between students and alumni and help students navigate their professional journeys, now offers various meaningful touchpoints designed to fit interests and schedules. Alumni can get involved in several new ways, including recording a short video for the college’s spotlight series about alumni career journeys; joining a coffee chat on campus; sharing career advice with students in a classroom setting; serving on a career panel; or judging research posters.

Here’s how alumni can participate:

Mentor a Student One-on-One for Six Weeks

Guide a student through weekly check-ins over a six-week period. Twenty alumni spots are available each fall and spring.

Share Your Story on the Alumni Mentor Minutes Video Spotlight Series

Record a short video for the college’s new spotlight series about your career journey. Ideal for alumni from all academic programs.

Join a Coffee Chat on Campus

Meet students for informal, drop-in conversations over coffee on campus. This is a great option for local alumni looking for flexible involvement.

Speak to a Student Organization or Classroom

Share career advice and lessons learned in a group or class setting. These opportunities are available in person or virtually.

Collaborate in the I4HE Academy Interdisciplinary Workshop

Support students in solving real-world challenges. The Innovate for Healthcare and Education (I4HE) Academy is a one-day interactive workshop.

Participate on a Career Panel or Networking Event

Share your career path in a panel or networking session with students. These events are offered in-person or virtually.

Judge a Research Poster at a Student Showcase

Evaluate student projects using provided scoring criteria. Participate in person at an annual showcase event.

Whether alumni can participate in a single event or multiple activities, their experience as a health or education professional can make a lasting impact on students.
